Every day there seems to be a new commercial for a new prescription drug. I think the last one I heard was musically sounding… “Lyrica” right? – the first FDA approved drug to treat fibromyalgia. Praise God for the intelligence He has given to man to be able to invent this stuff. I know someone who suffers from fibromyalgia, so I do hope this medicine can help her.
The problem is, no one has invented a drug to save you from dying.
There are euthanasia drugs that can make you die or street drugs that make you die eventually if not the first time…
But, you cannot take a pill to prevent your mortal body from death.
Maybe you are experiencing a time in your life in which you think your soul needs healing and yet there is no answer for you and you think that you’d be better off overdosing and dying. Maybe you are so sad that the thought of living no more actually sounds good to you.
Do you realize there’s a better solution?
Do you realize that you don’t have to die?
Your mortal body, yes, will decay and you will eventually breathe your last.
But you have a spiritual body.
And this is where human choice and free will come in.
You can choose not to die — spiritually.
“Come now, let us reason together,” says the Lord God. God invites us to reason, to philosophize, to use our intellect, but we must use it for His good purposes.
God says in this verse: “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” Isaiah 1:18.
Your reasoning might say, well, I have to die. I have led a pitiful life, afraid of everything, and now I am on my way to the path of destruction which is what I deserve.
Sure, it might be what you deserve. But, do you realize that God desires to transform you? He can take the bad stuff, the sins, the trouble you’ve been in, and wash it white and pure.
You might have been foolin’ around, and now you’ve got yourself HIV or AIDS. The diagnosis isn’t good….the doctor is only giving you a few more years. To you, with your mortal vision, you are seeing time flashing by before your eyes, and death is coming for you.
Do you realize that God can change your future? He can heal your body completely. He is the God who still does miracles. Do you realize you don’t have to die in sorrow?
Do you realize there is ETERNAL LIFE? You must believe in Jesus. “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but will have everlasting life!” John 3:16
Jesus died on the cross, He bled and died so that you wouldn’t have to. He wants you to have life.
Food is perishable, and so are you without Jesus. Won’t you accept Him into your heart today? If you say with all due sincerity to the Lord, “I recognize that I’m a sinner. I recognize that I’ve messed up in my life. But, Lord, I know You are the answer. I choose to accept You, Jesus, into my heart. You are my Savior, You are my Messiah, You are my Lord. I trust You and I believe that when my mortal body dies You will give me a new spiritual body and I will live and worship You for all eternity. Forgive me of my sins, wash me, make me whole. Heal me, Jesus! I cry to You because I believe in You and I want to know You personally. Thank you for saving me, Lord. Amen”. Pray a prayer like that in your own words and the Lord will reign in Your life and You won’t have to die.
You need Jesus, friend. Will you accept Him or will you keep on running away?
Run into His arms. You’ll be safe there.
